Small ruminant (sheep & goat) health solutions can be a real challenge. Sheep and goats are not just small cows. Their nutrient, management, and health requirments are significantly different from cattle. And, there are only a minimal number of preventive and therapeutic products that have sheep and/or goat use claims.

Sheep and goats are considered a minor species and don't offer enough income potential for many manufacturers to want to incur the expenses of product development and approval specifically for these species. That means that many treatment medication recommendations may need to come from your local veterinarian who has the "Veterinary/Client/Patient Relationship" that is required for "off label" recommendations.
